А Relevance and importance of the studied issues

  According to the latest statistics from June, 2012 Internet users are 2,405,518,376 people, or about 34.3 percent of the world population. Some of them are so addicted to "surfing" in its infinite space that could hardly imagine everyday life without him. This is easily explained, considering the fact that through the opportunities offered by the network, people around the world achieve nearly simultaneous access to virtually unlimited number of products, services and information.

  Valued compared to intellectual property, this interactive reality undoubtedly become a major challenge to the legal protection of intellectual property objects, including works of literature, science and the legal protection of individual intellectual property rights. This is due to the fact that cyberspace is very easy to create conditions for illegal activity, among which aspects of manifestation is the use of intellectual property without the consent of the holders of exclusive rights.

  Scientific interest in the problems of intellectual property in the digital space occupies an important position in the research of many scientists in the field of legal science in Bulgaria: B. Nedelcheva, M. Markova, T.Trencheva, T.Todorova, B. Angelova, V. Kiskinov, D. Dimitrov, B. Borisov and others. Copyright and legal issues in the digital space are of interest to researchers and practitioners, both in the member states of the European Union and worldwide.

  There are many controversial issues related to the issue of intellectual property rights, copyright and the Internet but comprehensive study of intellectual property as part of the university culture of information environment in our country - does not exist.

Objectives of the project

  The main objective of the project is to explore the mind and culture of behavior among young people and students in particular to protect intellectual property on the Internet. With the development of this project will be made a detailed study of the problems of using pirated products by young people.

  An important objective of the project is the accumulation of research material which finds application in updating existing training programs related to the study of intellectual property and direct application in the educational process. Purpose related to sustainability of the project results into perspective is to create a project’s web site, e-library and e-journal - platforms for future development and promotion of international collaboration with colleagues at home and abroad.

  The surveys are intended to outline a clearer picture of young people's attitudes to intellectual property on the Internet. The obtained data will be processed by correlation and variance analysis to identify key trends and time series. Will be attempted to create forecasts.

Research project tasks

The project puts scientific tasks at two levels:

  First level is related with accumulation of information. Conducting scientific research that purposes on empirical research and theoretical analysis to identify, systematize, summarize and analyze factual information on the complex problems. The next stage of our work, then reflexive statement of their methodological assumptions and process to be used as tools to create a group of lectures that will enhance the virtual culture and background of the young people. These two research tasks will be combined with a third - Civil aimed to arouse debate and sensitivity to the misuse of information resources on the Internet. In this sense, the level sets purely analytical tasks without neglecting the possibility that some results have research character.

  Second level has a major task to develop a comprehensive and integrated methodology for increasing the virtual culture of young people, spreading the knowledge of intellectual property and promoting the objectives, activities and outcomes of the project. This will include:

  • Organized two seminars in the first stage, which will be conducted in two universities participated in the survey, the first seminar in the second stage of basic organization and an International Conference at the end of the second phase of which will be exported lectures and reports legal protection of intellectual property objects and legal protection against violations of individual rights in intellectual property;
  • Creating an e-journal to promote the results of research on the second level;
  • Creating an e-library of free access that can be used by all users, such as the protection of copyright material will be used for free access licenses such Creative Commons;
